What is Econometric Research Association?
Econometry deals out to various fields as a subdiscipline of economy. It is possible to test theories advanced in economy
science and to simulate these theories in real world conditions to check its actuality by applying the methods improved during
the econometric theory works. These applications of econometry lights the way to economic policy planners. On the other hand
econometric methods are highly applied to financial studies which enlight the financial world and become an important source
for the applicants.
So it is unavoidable to support econometry discipline that takes such an important part in scientific and real world. The
Econometric Research Association has been formed to give this support. Its prior aim is to gather the community. The journal
planned to publish and the seminars that will be conducted are the first steps to achieve this goal. Members coming together
in the body of the association will be informed of the studies of other members and background for collective works will be
available in this way. So, either theoric or applied fields improvement will be supported.
We hope that the journal and the papers of seminars that are published in the web site of ERA will draw the attention of both
economists and the people in financial circles. It is quite possible to think that association has a big potential to force lots
of sectors to come together.
