The ethical principles of International Econometric Review are based on the principles set forth by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) in "Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing" (2022). See https://publicationethics.org/
All studies submitted to our journal are evaluated by at least two referees who are experts in their fields. The evaluation process is subject to double-blind peer review principles. The final decision on the publication of the study is made by the editors taking into account the referee reports.
Studies submitted to the journal must be original and should not be under evaluation in another journal. For a submitted study to enter the evaluation process, it must meet the following criteria. Studies that do not meet the application criteria are rejected by the journal's editorial office without entering the evaluation process.
Only those who have significantly advanced the work should be named as authors. Ghost and gift authorships are strictly prohibited.
The corresponding author must provide the contributions of all co-authors, if any, such as data collection, empirical analysis, reviewing and editing.
Adding artificial intelligence programs as co-authors is strictly prohibited by International Econometric Review. If such an article is submitted, it is immediately rejected without being sent to reviewers.
Artificial intelligence programs can be used for language purposes, but in such cases this should be stated in the acknowledgment section of the article.
Authors must specify in the submission text all individuals or organizations with whom they have or may have a conflict of interest related to the study.
Conflict of interest may arise from personal or financial relationships that may directly or indirectly affect the evaluation or publication of the study.
Situations such as financial support, consultancy services, speaker fees should be clearly stated.
International Econometric Review journal can publish corrections, clarifications, retractions and apologies about published studies when necessary. Additionally, studies found to violate ethical issues can be removed or retracted from the journal's database.
Plagiarism, including "self-plagiarism" or "false citation", is a serious violation of scientific principles. Such ethical violations are absolutely unacceptable according to the journal's publication policy. Our journal uses Crossref Similarity Check (provided by iThenticate and/or Turnitin) software to determine the similarity rate of articles. For a study to enter the peer review process, the total similarity rate must be less than 30% and the similarity rate with a single source must not be higher than 1%.
Authors are required to explain in their articles that they have received ethical approval from an appropriate committee and how permission was obtained from participants for the research.
International Econometric Review journal does not accept studies related to clinical research and animal studies.
Authors must submit the copyright form to International Econometric Review during the application period.
After the acceptance of the submitted article, the author(s) are requested to provide the data used in the article to International Econometric Review in cases where the research is applied. This is only for the purpose of reproducibility by other researchers.
At the final stage of publishing the issue, the author(s) must confirm that the article is in the form they submitted.
